Lioness evokes several scenes and atmosphere of Zero Dark Thirty, which I loved. Joe calls in Predator strikes in military jargon, and Cruz scores higher than males on PT tests - the two tough-as-nails female superheroes in Lioness. Cruz grows into a top-notch clandestine operator from flipping burgers and being abused, a catharsis that should make champions of empowered women proud. A fast-paced, well-written and well-acted TV series.
