Wow. Loved it. Wes Anderson has outdone himself again. A quirky, comedy-ish delight that layers in themes of loneliness, grief and one’s struggle with finding (or having a lack of) purpose. On the surface it’s just a goofy parody of 1950s life in a desolate desert town, but deep down it shows how vulnerable and lonely we can perceive ourselves when faced with loss. Also, the cast is top notch and amazing! Couldn’t have found a more talented group of actors in one film!
