I think my first review might have been deleted because of accidentally swearing? Let me retry with greater care on my language. This was an extremely frustrating gameplay experience. I find it hard to imagine a player progressing all the way through without needing to resort to online hints or a guidebook. Some of the steps required for progression seems almost as abstract as randomly trying all your tools in every possible location on the entire map. I gave it two stars because I like the graphics, but it lost three because of how unattainable self-guided success seemed to be. Nothing in the game is hard once you know what to do, so if you have a guidebook or don't mind looking online for help then this game could work for nearly any age player, so don't let my negativity deter you if you don't mind playing that way. However, if I'm going to play a puzzle game I'd like to think that the solutions to those puzzles can be worked out with some logic, Link's Awakening lost me when those solutions delved way too far into abstraction and obscurity.
