Awful! It certainly was no “Girl with the Pearl Earring”. The faces of the characters badly chosen, only when there is desperation, does the director choose sex over subtle emotions. A waste of a lot of extras and costume. No masterpiece but a dead weed

I always had a great admiration for Robert Redford as his films were always full of humanity and intelligence. This as his final film was okay but lacked any tension, drama or even real romance and I found myself yawning and just when I thought the story finished, it still continued which I found tedious. I would give it 5 out of 10 and now he really should retire.
