I read both part one and part two of shogun, and it’s amazing to me how much they changed the storyline, and not for the better. They really glossed over the love relationship between Mariko and Blackthorne, and the deep friendship and camaraderie of Blackthorne and Toranaga. They really missed out on these two amazing relationships and did NOT do the book justice.
