I watched it, so I must have found it interesting.....or something. First, where do these people live? The girls and women all wear the shortest shorts imaginable, to work and to school, yet it is supposed to be north? of Boston. Not only fishnet hose, but fishnet sleeves, fishnet blouses. Sure, they're beautiful girls/women in this trashy chic, but really? I guess Canadian schools are lots more lenient that schools where I live. Then there's the formula for every episode that includes a daring rescue by THE DAD, the dream sequence where at least one cast member thinks THE MOM has come back to life, and the drama surrounding teenage angst. And tons of camera closeups of say, cereal bowls or sun through a window; seems like the filler that kids put into term papers to make them longer. But there is the pet penguin, given the run of the house without a trace of penguin poop. Love the penguin, but seems a so contrived since penguins do not live near Boston. All that said, there could be hope if there was a bit more fresh-ness to the script and some sort of twist to the drama.
