this book is a response to Mircea's book. Maitreyi devi narrates the facts about what really happened between them in teen age. young Mircea arrives at her home to stay and study under the guidance of her influencial father, professor Surendranath Dasgupta and fell in love with her daughter. Once Dasgupta gets aware of the fact he simply asks Mircea to leave his place immediately. Mircea went to Himalayas and then to his native land. He writes a novel and praises his love for Maitreyi devi and while doing so he distorted some facts about their relation. Devi responded to this by writing this novel.
