Well written and fast paced with real depth to the characters.
The ending will be difficult to accept for some, but when you think about it for a while, it makes a lot of sense.
If you want a hero and a big dramatic finale look somewhere else. This digs into the details and the strengths and frailties of people who we rely on. It brings home the fact that we all make assumptions, mistakes and that whilst there are acts of heroism, even the best of us are imperfect.
So as not to spoil it for those who watch it I will only comment on one character. The General. He starts unfocused, arrogantly dismissive. Then he relies on his support, whose thoughts he rebadges as his own. Then he becomes focused and determined - but I'll let you make your own mind up as to whether he is right or wrong in the end. And that is the beauty of the writing. It leaves the viewers to make their own mind up rather than serving it all up on a plate.
This is not a Marvel story with obvious heroes and villains, it is a reflection of real life and real people under unbelievable pressure.
