When I saw this movie as a teenager , it was great. Now it looks dated and eerily predictable. I guess it follows Nevil Shutes novel reasonably well, with a few changes. The book version is way better.

Been there , done that with a similar story with breast cancer plus melanoma. Some of it is quite realistic while other aspects were glossed over. Why do all cancer stories have to have a tearjerker ending? Some of us do survive!! Acting was good though and it's a good Saturday avo watch.
