Heartwarming, funny, the giggles and tears. Quiz lady is more than just your average asian-american comedy/drama movie. As an asian-american myself it is so lovely to see movies that show representation, relatability, and a good storyline. Family relationships have always been sour and sweet on my side and seeing this movie made me relive a few memories and blunt love i've experienced from my siblings. Not only was the story beautifully portrayed to the last second of soft expressions and reactions, but the acting was phenomenal! From Awkwafina to Sandra Oh and Will Ferrell, the casting was a wonderful choice. I will be thinking about this movie for a while and it's definitely one of those movies you will watch for comfort and a little laugh. Thank you Jessica Yu for creating this masterpiece <3

SPOILERS AHEAD - I’d like to start off with saying that this book has major trigger warnings that include sexual abuse, manipulation, pedophilia, and dark dark themes. There are definitely more TW’s but I believe you get the picture. The book is bleak and dark. To put it simply there isn’t a happy ending. The ending is like eating a piece of stale bread after starving yourself for days. We get a small amount of closure but you can see from reading a few phrases at the last page / 2 pages that she never fully recovered. But- I will say that looking past the fact this book stabbed me and left a new groove on my brain which will never fade, it was incredibly detailed, well written and realistic. Not everyone will get a happy ending as a victim of multiple horrendous events (grooming SA, etc) and writing those peoples’ stories is absolutely important. After finishing the book all I can say is that the book read out like a movie with disturbing frames and videos which still play over and over in your head again and again.

This was the absolute most funniest movie i've ever seen. I haven't enjoyed and laughed at something in so long! The characters and their lines are so witty and hilarious, also while keeping some themes close to the real world. I loved how each character had their own development, personality, and how every single character was likable. Full of charism, life and humor, this movie IS A MUST WATCH!!!!!
