An outstanding show which deals with real and topical issues. The acting is consistently of a very high standard, the performances understated to permit focus on the issues. Frequent exposure of the deep flaws in the U. S. health system is well-handled and dealt with by detailed research and genuine concern. This is undoubtedly an adult and thought-provoking show with impeccable writing and superb production values. Certainly brilliant television and the best show around.

Chernobyl is a compelling, lacerating, gripping series that should be compulsory viewing for anyone who appreciates superb story-telling but who also loves the planet. It comprises a narrative of events that nearly saw an end to many of us but one that is told with a matter-of-fact urgency through acting of under-stated brilliance accompanied by settings and properties that are as real as they are unavoidable. The series is a tour-de-force. It is also stomach-churning and all the more scary because it is true.
