Lizeth “Sirenita” Vaca

This show is brilliant! It’s colorful, literally and figuratively. They talk very fast and the scenes move fast, you won’t find yourself bored at any moment. The comedy in the on-stage acts are actually funny and there are micro comedy moments through out the episodes that are laugh-out-loud funny! The only sad part is the seasons are short. The writing and performances are just too great, keeps you wanting more! The costume design is done so fun and gorgeous. The fact that it’s a historical comedy makes it nostalgic but not in a depressing way but you feel like you’re traveling back in time to the good parts of history- a fantasy watch! Women really shine here and it’s refreshing and exhilarating to watch. I appreciate how it highlights female roles in a way that comes off as empowering while still keeping with the realistic limitations of the that era.
