I was anticipating โDoc,โ the drama of a gifted physician who sustains a critical head injury in a vehicle accident and loses 8 years of her memory. What I was drawn to in the drama was not just what could have been a kind of standard โdoctor regains her memory and returns to practicing medicineโ theme, but the insights she gains into her character, personality, and effects on others (family, colleagues, patients, friends) driven by what initially appears to be unrelenting ambition and hubris) as she moves from near helplessness and humility to a more balanced humanity. As she examines the effects of her losses, she also comes to examine the choices she has made and the kind of future she can choose through self-honesty & courage. Judy Locke, Fort Worth, TX
