I learned of A Course in Miracles back in the 70's when I heard an interview about how the book was given to a group of psychologists who were discouraged and saying "There must be a better way". One of them started receiving teachings by a voice which spoke to her. Another of them typed for because she couldn't keep up. All the needs for publishing etc happened organically in that people would show up who performed the job. Marianne Williamson showed up and became a teacher. I have used the book at times. It is structured as a course which takes a year. It's very clear.
