Disappointing - designed for short attention span audiences. Lost the subtleties of former Superman incarnations. The “hick” incarnations of Ma and Pa Kent were offensive. Luther lacked any suggestion of high intelligence. Artless caricatures overall of American cultural heroes.

It helps to be married to a physician for 45 years (through his death) to attest to the poignant accuracy of the portrayal of Henry’ disease process - especially the humbling nature on medical professionals.

I believe your “perspective/position” as a viewer on the “wheel of life” determines your response to this movie. A viewer with a full life, experiencing births and deaths, joys and disappointments, caregiving newborns and elders - a viewer like me will find this movie exquisitely evocative. Dialogue that triggers viewers’ life memories should be stylistic - this dialogue works well to evoke our similar emotions from our life experiences. If you’ve had a failed family life full of anger and abandonment, this may trigger negative reactions. All families are dysfunctional but if love was a foundational bond in your family and especially if you’re mature - this movie is fully engaging.

Great score pacing the chaos. SNL’s been part of my life since early adulthood. This movie honors the hit-miss nature of live entertainment. Thanks you for great entertainment.

The credibility of a spy movie plot centered on a technological MacGuffin - a 15 yo “key” in this era of instant obsolescence - is weak as well as purely puerile plot development. Perfect distraction for the treadmill.

Meticulous and gentle character development amid traumatic catastrophe - nuanced performances excel. Do not anticipate endless “action movie genre” - this is Yale MFA level acting resolving conflicts of death as we all must.

I’m 73. The love for 45 years of my life died before Christmas 2023 in his mid-80s - a good death being held in my arms at home. This is a remarkable view of a family’s voyage to the father’s good death - and very real. We all die. Everyone should watch this film. Alone or shared. A paean to the fathers of this world with daughters - mine had four amazing daughters.

Extraordinary. In this extreme bipartisan climate, I felt I was watching a probable branch on our time stream. Well drawn personal and professional relationships. A dystopia too close for comfort.

Entertaining. Campy. Delightful “horror” movie. Seek no redeeming religious message in this amusing sendup of the Exorcist redux lineage.
