The movie shows a women who is a wrestler. No one marries her because she is a wrestler. How she gets married and lives in in her in-laws place is the crux of the movie.
I really liked the fact the the heroine is into athletics and the way she is bold and build all sounds like a great guideline to a society that is fighting for its rights. The idea behind showing all men in the bad and weak light is not good for the cause. I know many wrestlers who got married faster than anyone else. The movie is a fiction, yes. Even then oru nyaya dharmam venama da?
What they show in this movie is totally not women empowerment. That is exactly what is wrong with these toxic people. They are making an attempt to push such toxic agenda to people.
The girls family lies about almost everything about her. The guy is particular about whom he wants to marry but she has none of those attributes. When a senior person from the guys family goes and asks, the girl slaps him and says he is being a male chauvinist. He was having an altercation with the girls family and the women has the audacity to raise her hand and call the guy a male chauvinist? What sort of logic is this?
The Indian society teaches to respect elders. Leave the fact that he is a guy. Also, an argument is an argument. The person who raises their hand is the abuser.
The director should realize that such toxic movies would have impact on young minds. Further, that is not equality. They first half was funny. But these additions made the movie toxic. I would say Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya hey is a much better representation of the feminist ideology. This movie is just propaganda.
In my personal opinion, I wouldn't entertain such toxic movies.
