If the movie critics gave 1,5 stars and the public 4,7 out of five to this movie, it only means that critics are wrong once again. We need less blase critics. I liked the movie, the acting of Will Smith and an "Alexandre Dumas" story...

After about ten minutes of viewing I stopped the film which bothered me.

Terrible music.

An intense film in suspense, duty, friendship and brotherly love. I don't remember seeing such a close-up film on the First World War with its trenches, mud and butchery. A film well done in all the details.

A good filmmaker makes from almost nothing an extraordinary movie. Merryl Streep, Amy Adams, and Philip Seymour Hoffman delivered their roles to a rare perfection. Father Flynn's sermon on gossip is a wonderful lesson. Doubt is the 7th art par excellence.

Some European filmmakers have the talent of making from a simple story of life a masterpiece that surpasses big budget American films.
