Easily one of Horner's best scores. Energy, Nobility, Grace and Beauty. Great themes beautifully orchestrated. Also, for Horner, one of his most original.
Horner often seemed to have been inspired by the first movement of the Rachmaninoff Symphony 1, Alexander Nevsky by Prokofiev and the two-part invention from Khachaturian's Gayne. Maybe.
Here, though, is a new creation. A brilliant score for an amazing motion picture.
