It was deeply refreshing to view an intelligent mixture of humor and strong character among three random people who are devoted enough to truth to confront, head on, the evil machinations of the powerful. There are some wonderful, indelible lines being delivered, all while we watch guts and ingenuity outsmart prestige and sophistication. This movie restores the American heart. It takes us home to love and freedom even as it lays bear the issues that are hurting us most just now. I am a cinephile, and this is one of the best films I’ve seen in ages.

Subtly brilliant and constantly ironic. Cassie is barely of this world anyway, so she’s willing to be martyred for justice. This movie cannot be reduced to a feminist revenge film. It convicts us all to some degree, and it involves a contrite male lawyer who heroically redeems himself in helping her.
