I'm.absolutely loving this updated Dalgliesh. I find Bertie Carvel mesmerising in the part. His quiet and thoughtful portrayal of Dalgliesh is perfectly pitched. Great mystery drama with intriguing storylines.

A wonderfully written and acted series. Ben Whishaw shone as the melancholy, witty, caring and talented gynaecologist, up against it with crazy working hours and not enough doctors to go round. Exhaustion was etched on his face. His relationship faltered because of his all consuming work. Drama in a class of its own.

A wonderfully acted drama. Skillfully writing and a Tour de Force from.Martin Freeman who must surely be up for a BAFTA at the next awards. He plays a good, kind, instinctive police officer who has faults and unorthodox methods of dealing with things. He is haunted by his childhood at the hands of a brutal father and his anguish was palpable when he visited his ailing mother in a nursing home and begged her to acknowledge what his father did to him. She loves him but she couldn't admit the very necessary truth to him. A great part for wonderful Rita Tushingham. Memorable and exceptional drama with a touch Scouse humour to lighten what is quite a dark story. You really want Martin Freeman's character to get a break and also to get back to the lovingf family he's estranged from.

A wonderful and powerful production. It's a story with a rather menacing and sombre feel from the start. Great lead actors, especially Colin Farrell who is hardly recognisable in this playing a truly awful and cruel man. Stephen Graham is, of course superb, as ever.The sets are brilliant and the Nordic scenery breathtaking.

There is not really one character to actually like or feel empathy towards. I suppose if there is one character slightly less objectionable than the rest, then it has to be Harper. They're an unlovely bunch and greed is the game, but I love this series. Harper's angst at her error was palpable. So well acted.

Absolutely brilliant and hilarious. Two great actors poking fun at their profession with much glee. I.loved it. It was a tonic.

I absolutely loved it. A great mixture of gentle humour and pathos. The food poisoning episode was hilarious. Well written, well acted. Lovely friendships and more being made for life. I can't wait for series two.
