What can I say... To be honest, I started reading it a couple months ago and just finished it about a week ago! I am the definition of procrastination so it has nothing to do with the book's story. I am just known to start projects and let time take its course. I am seriously kicking myself as to why I ever stopped reading it!! It was honestly a story I couldn't stop reading once I was committed to finishing it. At first I thought it was going to be one of those cookie cutter mystery/thriller novels, but it was SOOO much more than that. Not only is the story a real life natural disaster phenomenon, but it has such a compelling story attached to it. I love how the author tied in her own life experiences, and made an unbelievable story out of it. The book itself is so easy to read with amazing descriptions. I almost felt like I was watching a movie, that's how real everything felt. I appreciate a story that makes you feel like your experiencing it third person. It makes me itch to know when the author will come out with a new book. Kudos to you Cristina Matta!!
