i just finished watching it. i had to struggle the whole time not to turn it off. to give you an idea of much it sucked. it was about as bad as swingers and i could only watch 20 minutes of it when it came out.
this movie was hard to follow. the giant starfish with a giant eye and the sumo sized shark/man made it a low budget b-movie to me. i thought james gunn was suppose to be a good film maker. and then there were the other characters. after watching that train wreck. i will seriously need to rethink watching any movie with the actors in it or being directed, produced or any involvement with gunn, snyder or anyone else attached to it. i hoped through the whole thing it would have some great ending. nope, that was such a let down.
now, if it turns out they come forward and blame the head execs and say the execs put a gun to their heads and told them to make a piece of junk movie or they would ruin their careers. then i might forgive them. im glad i watched it alone. if my wife watched it. then her glamorous notions of idris elba would be smashed. because now mine are.
if this is the junk james gunn and zack snyder (im not much of a fan of snyders work as is it) produce. then please do not fund anything more for them. i would rather watch reruns then watch junk like that again. and it sucks watching movies with a very good memory and a 147 i.q.. i basically know the movies ahead of what comes on the screen.
the first review i saw here. a guy said irreverent and witty. he must still laugh when people do peek a boo.
one last request. please do not buy any more scripts from that writer.
there is so much more i would like to say about this movie. but im still feeling ill. you know how you feel when you watch someone throw up and you get that queezy feeling.
