I really enjoyed the premise of the movie. I feel like the love triangle/romance does a major disservice to the overall story. I would've liked to see more of the siege that took place and more on the overall genocide that took place. It was annoying to go from a scene of Armenians fighting Turks to romance. Christian Bales character was very entertaining. The best scene of the movie is the interaction between the American ambassador and the Turkish minister of interior. As I understand it they were good friends and the American ambassador took good records of there conversations about the genocide and eventually turned in into a book.
