This is certainly a story, but it is not the story of David. The fact that Hollywood is bent on making everything about sex and love is frankly unappealing. When David was anointed as king, the Holy Spirit came over him with power. He was not an impetuous, selfish, impatient youth. He was a warrior, even at that time. I gave this a two star review, because the acting is actually very good. I can overlook a lot of the other embellishments as the Bible does not speak of many things during that time. I cannot, however, continue to watch something that so completely departs from the actual truth that is in God’s word.
