I first read this book when I was under the age of 10. My mother bought it for me for my birthday because it was her favorite book when she was a child. I loved the book too. I read it in it's entirety, in a short time. I've been looking for the book as an adult bc a family member had borrowed it and never returned to me when I was a kid. A beautiful story that children can get lost in. I recommend it very highly, especially for young girls.
