Laura Monk

I have read almost all of Marian’s books and have loved most of them so was excited to read her latest. This one was disappointing. The plot is very weak and the story goes on for way too long, I found myself scan reading the last few chapters, wishing it to end. There are too many characters to care about any of them. The story is quite sickly sweet at times and far fetched, some of it just doesn’t seem realistic. The main character Anna is painted as this incredible person who can do no wrong, everyone she meets loves her but I’m not sure why, her character/story was boring resulting in a very boring and uneventful book.
