This book is terrible, the author literally does not know what he's talking about. Also the writing is incredibly lazy, he replaces the journey that the refugees take with magical doors, which I feel is incredibly disrespectful toward people who suffered on their journey to a new country, only to have that journey be replaced by a magic door. Hamid's grammar is also atrocious, the book is filled with run-on sentences to the point where it looks like a kindergartner wrote it. All in all terrible book do not read it, if your teacher forces you to read, you might as well pray to god because there is going to be nothing of substance to analyze in the book for essays.
