I watch way too many tv shows/movies nowadays with my broken ankle. With that said, I love period pieces and historical dramas. This show was so phenomenal. It is well above anything I have seen recently. The acting is amazing as well as the effects. The plot is intriguing and surprising, even until the last minute of the series. If you are SOLELY interested in watching this show for historical accuracy and nothing else, I suggest you look elsewhere. Perhaps the library. However, if you are interested in the overall history and love a good action/romance thrown in with that, this is your show. You can tell the actors poured their hearts and souls into becoming their characters. It felt so intense and real. It’s actually making me sulk that it is over and I’ll never see it for the first time again. Like a good book you know. Anyone rating this show poorly based on actors being of a different race or color have clearly missed the entire purpose and appeal of the show. In my opinion, if you think something is worth 1 star based on that then you have some internal conflicts of your own (i.e. racism) you need to deal with. Overall: LST: watch this show if you like drama, action, and period pieces. You will not be disappointed.
