This was a wonderful book.
I loved the development of the parallel stories of Johanna Bonger and Emsley Wilson.
Although I was familiar with the life of Van Gogh, his paintings and the relationship with his brother, Theo, I wasn't aware of Johanna's role in promoting Vincent Van Gogh and his paintings to the world.
I also loved how Emsly's character was inspired by the incredibly strong woman Joanna became through all the trials and tribulations in her life.
Great read. I finished it in 2 days.
