Consider forgetting about the source material of the original series before you dive into this movie, because doing so makes this a pretty good movie. I think alot of people fans and Gerry Anderson alike very much tend to forget that despite baring the name "Thunderbirds" this is more of an original interpretation making things very different to the original series, hence the dramatic backlash and failure of this film which is disappointing. This film was made to commemorate and exaggerate the charm of the original series which is why the comedy is driven up a notch and can be considerly "cringy", at the same time while poorly executed in some areas the movie still tries to keep the ideals of international resuce while adapting it into a modern era. The VFXs are fantastic even by today's standard, and the plot though straying from the source material again has that emphasis on Teamwork and rescuing lives even if the main Thunderbird pilots take a back-seat for most of the film. I say give the movie a chance and make up your own mind, but don't listen to fanboys be biased about it.
