Anyone who gives this movie more than 2 stars either: 1. Was paid, drunk, or posting a review for another Superman movie. 2. Doesn’t know anything about Superman 3. Doesn’t know what a good movie is I decided to take the family, I’ve always loved the Superman franchise. This movie was awful, not because it was a bad Superman movie but it was just bad script, bad acting, and bad CGI, truly one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen ( it’s slightly better that the Dragonball movie, or the Chun Li movie, but not by much IYKYK!!) I honestly didn’t know someone would allow a director to make a big budget movie this poor. Who signed off on this? To begin it’s sloppy, and all over the place with too many sub stories. Superman is a bit of a wimp, insecure, and confused. Lex wasn’t any better, just an angry bald kid with a ridiculous plan(I won’t spoil it) for Superman. The other characters just lame as can be. Some of these actors I’ve seen in other things where they were enjoyable but not here. They must be doing exactly what they were told and not acting to their strengths. The comedy, one liners, and sometimes foul language didn’t land. The romance is bad, his parents didn’t work, so many plot holes, so many missed opportunities. My elementary aged child can make a more cohesive story than this… Whoever thought James Gunn was a good idea just gave marvel a strong chance to come back (if they ever get good again) and to be the better movies as most DC stuff is gonna be garbage if Gunns running the show. For suicide squad it (Gunns style/humor) it passable, for peacemaker it works, but any “hero” like Batman, Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman etc.. James Gunns garbage isn’t gonna sit well with a majority of people. I won’t be seeing anything DC that Gunns involved in again, I would advise you find something more enjoyable to do with your time than watch this miserable attempt at a blockbuster movie…
