I really, REALLY love this game. It's one of the best assassin's creed games that I've played since black flag and maybe origins but I do feel like the series is taking the right step forward. The combat system and the advanced RPG mechanics really carried this game and I am loving it. I love the Viking aesthetic and the setting although the mythology stuff was quite annoying and tedious at times. The ending of this game is the best ending to an assassin's creed game ever imo. The only things that don't make this a 5 star is the fact that although I really do like the Viking storyline, I feel like the assassin's creed part is heavily sidelined and overshadowed by the Viking parts of this game. The other is the bugs and performance issues on older gen consoles like the xbox one and ps4. I really hope the next game, wherever it may be, does have more of an assassin's creed storyline as the main storyline. Other than that, I really think the series is going in the right direction after having 0 assassin's creed stuff in odyssey to having at least some in valhalla.
