Tragic, horrifying story masterfully created and told by the director and the actors. Scorsese once again demonstrates his genius. DiCaprio delivers an Oscar worthy performance but so do so many of his costars. DeNiro was more scary in this role than he was in Cape Fear. The film was meticulously crafted with incredible sets and wonderful cinematography, which made it all the more horrifying. The story is meticulously told over more than 3 hours which took some patience to stay with it but the artistry made it worth it. Glad to know there is still cinematic entertainment beyond superhero movies, sci-fi and gratuitous sex and violence.
