This film addresses issues of aging and sexuality with honesty and humor and a lovely delicacy, that only a woman could write. Two people struggling to find their place in the world— to find, give and take pleasure. Two beautiful performances. There were intimate moments that I felt as though I were watching a stage play with a front row seat. Leo Grande (Daryl McCormack) is extraordinary to watch, and lights up the screen with his grace and ease. He's got 'the moves' as well. He's deeper than he might first appear. And what can I say about Emma Thompson? Superb, honest, open and raw performance.
