I had low expectations on this one because it sounded cheesy and remakes normally don’t live up to the original. But as someone who grew up in the late 80’s and having karate kid as one of my favorite movies, I figured I’d give it a shot. I’m glad I did. The way it was presented blended well with our current culture and times. And it carried with it the spirit of Miagi’s teachings and imo what Karate is all about. I am enjoying the series so far. Having the original actors play their characters made it even more enjoyable and relatable with a spice of nostalgia.

Hopes for more episodes, could be set in different eras for the past 500 yrs
