I am a huge fan of wizard of oz & Ariana Grande, so I was super excited to see this, but was unfortunately let down. The acting was great, I'm so happy for Ariana.. but the plot & dancing choreography & constant singing was too much. Why did she have to sing in such a high pitch? It made her look like she struggled & Ariana is such a queen. Her character was awful alot of the time.. not what you expect from a good witch. The wicked witch actress i don't like at all, in or out of costume. The in your face black actors & equality is in its what many ppl are calling 'woke'.. it didn't work for the movie at all, which is a traditional all white cast & you can't mess with tradition..especially when the movie is set in such old times in middle America. The wizard of oz references were weak, i wanted more. I got excited in alot of parts with Ariana grande, Edina menzel & the other frozen actress, but it didn't wow me enough to see it again. Jeff goldblum wasn't a good choice for the wizard either. The leader of the school was good. There was some girl in front of me in her 30s that got so overly excited in her seat that it put me off.. she was sqealing & clapping & sitting upright in a recliner chair..I heard her squealing from the moment she entered the cinema to the moment we all left. Sorry .. it was just too much & I'm not really sure what she was squealing at. Iv seen wicked in lyric theatre & I never really understood it much.
