It appears that this book has upset a lot of Trump supporters who like their thrillers to echo their own political agendas.
Like it or not, this book reflects the zeitgeist of the time it was written. It is an author's right to do so.
The Cellist is a thriller of no huge literary merit but it does talk about the rife corruption of the few mega wealthy in this world. Nobody is portrayed as being squeaky clean.
So, Daniel Silver apparently upsets the fascists of America, Russia, Britain and elsewhere. Boo hoo I say.
