If you have NOT read any of the books of the "chaos walking trilogy" you would enjoy the movie. This is if you are into the syfy/ action types. The story line might be confusing at first but it should make sense further in the movie. It has good action and suspense. I personally want to see much more and believe it could have made an awesome Netflix series... BUT if you have read and are a fan of the books you will likely be disappointed. I am not a big book reader. I picked up the first book (the knife of never letting go) in high school for an assignment and fell in love! I ended up buying the books and audio versions... the movie (as most book to films do) left out so much. And small details that would have been easy to include... My opinion if you like the movie and never read the books go read them. If you have read the books don't expect too much.
