It's one of those few serials that give you food for thought, rather than senseless, quick escapism as is the trend of serials today. I thought I was familiar with Mahabharat, but this provides a fresh perspective into it. A creative, original and brave attempt, considering the inevitable backlash it received. If you already see a particular version of this epic as the actual truth (you see, people forget that this was passed down orally) , then this may not work for you. I know I am being somewhat acidic, but one has to open their mind a teensy bit to really enjoy this. If you do, this will make you see the epic and even yourself, in a new light.
