This show is outrageously biased propaganda.
It glosses over the terrorists who kidnapped Eyal Yifrach, age 19, Naftali Fraenkel, age 16 and Gilad Yifrach, also 16, all of whom were kidnapped on their way home from school and brutally murdered. Only the first episode of the ten part series mentions them at all. We see virtually nothing about the unimaginable pain and loss of these fine young men’s families. All were religious boys of exemplary character. And we hear nothing about their lives and only the bare minimum about their bodies having been found.
We see canned public footage. The funeral. A few tv broadcasts about it. And that’s it.
This HBO series “Our Boys” is ONLY interested in the Arab boy, Mohammed, who was killed in an apparent “revenge” or “price tag” killing, the very day that the three Jewish boys bodies were found. The series portrays, with fine actors playing all these parts, the young Arab boy, with whom we get plenty of time to emotionally connect, and his fine parents, watching each tear fall as they go though every stage of loss and finally, grief.
The totally false portrayal denies the reality, which is that Arab terror attacks and suicide bombings have literally killed thousands of Jewish Israelis. The laser focus on this one boy belies the title OUR BOYS.
Just call this HBO series “Mohammed.”
