Star Gazer

I find that this show isn’t bad per say, but failed to grab interest. This show feels like it was trying to be LGBTQ+ just to appeal to those groups without actually trying. I’m all for kids shows having representation but I feel this show doesn’t do a great job at it. If you want a fun show that explores real problems in fun adventures watch Hilda! If you want a kid show that shows real love and growth between two people I suggest Shera and the princesses of power. Kids my age (15) are so starved for representation that they will watch anything that tries to give it, even if it’s not good. I urge other kids to think about if they like the romance because it gay, or because it’s good. My favorite romance is gay but that’s not because it’s gay, it’s because it’s good! Think about the media you consume. Are they using your identity as marketing, or are they doing it because they want to give good representation. I would also like to clarify that I myself am a non-straight trans man, but it doesn’t take every second of my day being my personality.
