One of the most incredible movies I have ever seen. Not previously a Bob Dylan fan, as a Gen X woman. However, the acting throughout the movie was absolutely amazing-by everyone-that I was absolutely gobsmacked. I intend to read the book on which the movie was based. I immediately read about Bob Dylan on Wikipedia/other sites and had no idea how influential he was and how many accolades he has received. After the movie I wondered if Bob Dylan had publicly commented on the movie/Timothée Chalamet's performance. Apparently he was very complimentary, which sort of sealed the deal for me. As someone who was not familiar with Dylan, Baez, etc., I thought maybe I was just a naive moviegoer. But reading that Dylan gave the film his stamp of approval was amazing and oddly reassuring. Chalamet and Barbaro are riveting together. Edward Norton as Pete Seeger is so authentic and pure, as is the portrayal of his marriage and family. Johnny Cash is a lovable train wreck. I will own this movie. Hard stop. Incredible.
