Watched the Anime a few years ago. Binged it full. Loved it, such depth and notes for a “kids show.” More than a lot of movies or shows after or before it, watched the live action today - binged it - absolutely loved it! It hit the notes - the tones, humour, the feels, choreography was top! The VFX was simply amazing and the set pieces were gorgeous! - I get why some story elements were altered and let me say THAT’S JUST FINE! I know a lot of naysayers and “die hards” will basically poop on anything or everything, which is silly, because honestly, yes a fan can and should criticise and critique, but that’s informed vs the “OMG it’s bad cos bad.” helps nothing. I would forego those and give it a shot to decide yourself but as a fan of the series, I loved this and it grew on me as the series did. I rarely give anything a full score but from casting to the delivery and everything else it was wonderful. Wholeheartedly 10/10.
