I think the chose a weak story line. Henry is amazing as supe. Ben though very befitting was sold out by the direction of the writers took. He was too humorous for the dark night image. And then they made the flash gay. Sometimes intensity works. Hollywood is too afraid to make movies closer to reality cause the want kids to watch the movie but then they lose the plot through that sacrifice. Its like what they did to dragon ballz. It lacked ballz. Remember its the writers, directors and producers that shape the character. Even with Hugh Jackman. He is loveable but his fights are weak. He mastered the look but the plots are like written for 9 year olds. More intensity DC and marvel. Man of steel was amazing. Superman vs Batman. Ben was 100% batman. More fight scene creativity, dialogue and make movies an experience than a story that we must tolerate.

The script could have been better. More intriguing. Jamie is a fantastic actor. And I would have preferred Jamie's power to be permanent since he shares genetic code with his daughter. 5minutes is a bit unwell thought. In the sequel it would nice that Jamie after being healed gets his powers augmented with speed, flight and strength... An ordinary man going superman.

I think they made a mistake by getting rid of Michael. Michael had so much potential... Syleene alone is OK but lacking. In the awakening saga syleene is a big weak for the power we expected of her after drinking the blood from corvinus. The last good underworld was evolution... I think now they just lack a believable villian and plot. Losing Michael is were the plot got lost... We expected so much from him... And after Marcus the last true villian this movie is far cry from the original set up. The writes need use proper scale in power. Syleene being beaten by Varga as powerful as she is was just pathetic. I think I the production team has lost the plot with this franchise. Maybe they have creative differences that show in the movie. I give it a 4.5
