Im definitely not gonna lie, I have a thing for crime and mystery thrillers and the title itself piqued my interest first. Couldn't put it down bruh. The story starts off with Jules, a not-so-rich woman who is lured by this apartment sitter ad and definitely-not-shady sum of money she was gettin paid for just living there. Totally normal. Then she starts discovering it's ugly secrets and whatever has been happened to the innocent lives here in the very building. To be honest, I think the ending could've been better. (Spoilers) The occult thing was a lot scarier and thrilling than the rich-people-need-organs thing. Still rate it a five star though. Her stabbing Nicholas Bartholomew and setting the building on fire and Nicholas jumping off the Bartholomew building following the path of his great grand father had my jaw on the floor. Hands down to my new favourite author Riley Sager lmao.

I completed reading we were liars about a month before I discovered family of liars and to be honest I was thrilled to dive in the world of beechwood and sinclairs again. This book is narrated by Carrie, the aunt of Cadence, about a certain something she did with her sisters (not givin spoilers). This book, just like we were liars, is also very beautifully written tbh. Couldn't put it down, finished it in a single day. I loved it and I'm giving it five stars. Beautiful.

I wish I could give zero stars to this book. I'm very disappointed. Waste of time.
