Pretty awful movie especially when you take into account that the creature known as Godzilla is pretty much indestructible when matched against an oversize gorilla with strength to match. King Kong bleeds pretty easy and certainly would not be just "singed badly" from a nuclear breath blast. Yes Kong lost his fight at the very end but he was able to last WAY too long in his battles and I think they played fast and loose with the strength and size match up.
