I found the storyline was a massive disturbing cliche as we all watched people being tortured and murdered as part of the fictional film but that was the killer's motivation. I think it was almost 'tongue in cheek' writing. The film does not match up to the original series at all but the film is what can be expected when it's being remade for a different audience on Netflix.
