I love and breathe this show, it's so good and it makes me want to scream how much I love it. The acting from both Michael Sheen and David Tennant is amazing, the storyline is really great in my opinion, it's got a lot of humour, but it's emotional scenes hit so hard as well, it's just amazing. It also makes me be grateful for being able to appreciate writing for what it is and the hidden meanings of stuff, because apparently some people don't know how to read into things. Granted I am hyperfixating on this show so maybe that's why I know so much compared to that of a casual viewer, but I'd like to address the poor comments people have made regarding this newest season and how they obviously (no offence) don't have basic reading and viewing comprehension. I'm here to prove how you should never listen to the very low reviews.
If you've never watched it and decided to take a cheeky gander at the 1/2/3 star reviews saying it's woke stuff, it's not. If these people actually knew anything about this show they would know these characters have been written and implied the way they are since the 90's when the book was first written, and it's beautiful to actually watch.
This newest season people have also complained about the writing, season 1 is of course based on the first book, and if we're lucky, season 3 would be based on the second book, so season 2, while it's fantastic in my opinion, it shows how you'll be able to get from one point to another, otherwise it will be a massive leap and people would complain about too big of a jump and it not making sense, so either way, Neil Gaiman loses. I loved it and to be honest I think it's praise it's getting on all platforms, such as the reviews on here and social media (especially TikTok, Twitter and Tumblr) isn't just a group of "woke people pushing the woke agenda" but actually people who indulge themselves in the show and understand it for what it is now, and even how it was written three decades ago.
But enough of my long rant, if you want to watch this show and never had, it's all so good, I genuinely cannot express how much I love this and all the different elements that make me love it. (:
