As a guy that automatically has a bias against sequels or remakes, I started watching this very skeptical. The first half of the first episode I was not really into it. I was half watching and half playing on my phone. Before I knew it, I was whole heartedly invested. My S.O. and I binge watched the whole season. It is a really fun and interesting show as long as you don't compare it to the movies we grew up on. View it as a separate thing. The Addams family is one thing I had an issue with. I just kind of felt like they missed the mark on the Addams family characters. But just slightly. Pugsly is just kind of a normal, wimpy kid. He's emotional and weak and seems to not fit in with the family. Not at all like the pugsly you would imagine. Gomez was very different but somehow it works. I liked this form of gomez. Morticia was ok. But too pretty and popular. I liked the movie Morticia that has a much creepier feel. Wednesday was perfect though. She played that part very well. Overall, I really liked this show. Give it a fair chance and you will too!!
