Despite some reviews, I actually like the movie based on the action and genre. Since I never played the video games and have only heard of the title as a game in passing, I was able to follow along with the plot and enjoyed the interaction between the female main character, Capt. Artemis and her companion, The Hunter. The only qualms I have about this movie was how quickly her army team was killed off and the REALLY quick explanation of the situation by the Admiral, played by Ron Perlman. Other than that it was pretty entertaining. This movie seems to be more of a set up for a sequel, or if it was in a novel, then this would be like the first 7 chapters of a 20 chapter book.
